Every day we read odd news in the daily newspaper, or hear weird stuff sprouted by our concientious newsreaders and presenters on television and radio. When I say “odd” and “weird” I mean stuff that doesn’t make much sense, news items that will have little or no effect on our daily lives, or news that has no intelligent outcome. Read more..

Had a few laughs around town the last few days. As a ’sixtysomething’ bloke I probably have more time to take in a funny scenario or event than someone who is rushing to work or running for an appointment. Busy people may see the onset of a developing situation but rush past before they can observe the funny outcome. Does that make sense? Read more..

While it's true that major news outlets do report real news and important information, how they manage public perception of reality and what issues are important is by focusing on, or ignoring, selected stories. It's no wonder that newspaper readership is shrinking and people are rushing to the Internet where all news is available as it happens, uncensored.
