When the mainstream media goes state and becomes nothing more than an echo chamber for the government, the task of sharing truth falls to the bloggers and news websites. While it's true that major news outlets do report real news and important information, how they manage public perception of reality and what issues are important is by focusing on, or ignoring, selected stories. It's no wonder that newspaper readership is shrinking and people are rushing to the Internet where all news is available as it happens, uncensored.

For years we have been bombarded with doom and gloom messages regarding global warming.
