Climate scam shakeup

Ever since the Climategate scandal, the mainstream media have been very quiet on global warming. Climategate involves scientists who tried to hide the truth that the world was cooling, and was revealed in hacked emails from The East Anglia Research Centre in the UK. The reason for the coverup was because they were receiving huge Government grants to come up with evidence that the globe was warming, caused by man-made CO2 emissions.
But the major newspapers (especially The Courier-Mail), radio and television stations will have none of this, and have been lying doggo. One would assume that it’s a Government directive to protect Rudd’s Emissions Trading Scheme when he attempts to re-introduce it to Parliament again in February. Journalists must be tugging at the bit because most still have enquiring minds. And this scandal is very juicy indeed.
For years now we’ve been bombarded with doom and gloom messages about global warming. Some scientists won’t debate the issue because they may find out some inconvenient truths, like there hasn’t been any global warming for ten years. Enter Lord Christopher Monckton, climate sceptic extraordinaire, who will be touring and lecturing in Australia in late January. See him in Noosa on January 30. Tour dates here.
There is no one quite like Christopher Monckton with his background in Latin classics, journalism, work for the Thatcher government, and dogged persistence to analyse the numbers. Last year he spoke in New York, Washington, Copenhagen, and across Canada. Monckton is a gem of a man, and this is a rare opportunity to see him in action. He’s been storming the world for years now, a constant thorn in Al Gore’s side. Monckton challenged Gore to explain the science behind his outlandish predictions, but after three years he still can’t find a single day to debate with Monckton.
Monckton pulls no punches: “Shut down the UN, arrest Al Gore”, he said, “The fraudsters and racketeers from Al Gore to the people at the University of East Anglia who have been making their fortune at the expense of taxpayers, and the little bloke, should be criminally charged”, said Monckton, in response to the Climategate scandal.
There is no doubt that Lord Monckton has taken legal advice and is aware that his allegations, if they were proven false, would land him in court on libel charges. But he is not being hauled before any court or even threatened in any way for statements. Therefore we may well assume the perpetrators know the viscount speaks the truth and we may be teetering on the edge of greatest fraud the planet has ever seen.
So, the shakeup begins. Let’s see how the “establishment” handles Monckton and his lectures on why climate change is not man-made, backed up with factual data and proper climate science. Will the media play the game? We deserve to hear all sides and make up our own minds about the climate change debate. And it’ll be interesting to see how Rudd handles this stuff in light of the letter Monckton sent him, and which he didn’t bother to reply to.
